Wild Bear's Head Mushrooms

$32.00
sold out

Wild Bear’s Head Mushroom adorns the old growth forest like grandiose chandeliers. These unusual tooth fungi have earned many wonderful names-Goat’s Beard, Pom Pom du Blanc, Conifer Coral-all reflecting the mushroom’s unique character.

So how do you cook this strange looking mushroom? Same ways you prepare most other mushrooms really. It will pan-fry nicely and can play well with meat, shallots, and stews. That said, I’m quite sure God designed this mushroom’s “tentacles” especially for picking up sauce or battering and deep frying.

Sold by the pound.

Includes Hericium abeitis and Hericium coralloides
